Meet the dogs in person, fill out an Adoption Application, and take home a new furry family member!

 

**ADOPTION TIP*** - Want to adopt a specific dog and/or make the adoption process faster? Follow the steps below to become an Allen County SPCA pre-approved adopter!

Step 1:

• Become an Allen County SPCA pre-approved adopter! Prior to Saturday, June 1, fill out and return our Adoption Application. PLEASE NOTE - if you would like to adopt a specific dog on this transport, please write the specific dog's name on the Adoption Application you return to us.

Step 2:

• Return your completed Adoption Application to the

Allen County SPCA

• Drop off your application in person at:

  • 4914 S. Hanna Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46806​

Step 3:

• After submitting your Adoption Application, the Allen County SPCA will contact you via email with notice of your application status. If you've requested to adopt a specific dog, this email will also note your place in line for that specific dog.

  • For example:

    • John Doe: Approved Application, #1 in line for Roscoe

    • Jane Doe, Approved Application, #5 in line for Roscoe

Step 4:

• All adoption fees for pre-selected, pre-approved adopters MUST be paid IN FULL, IN ADVANCE of our adoption event. The Allen County SPCA can take payment over the phone (260-744-0454) or in person (4914 S. Hanna Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46806) before Saturday, June 1, 2019.

  • In the event that the Allen County SPCA collects an adoption fee from a pre-approved adopter who DOES NOT end up adopting from the event (for any reason - not able to be there, dog is not the right fit for your family, etc), the adopter will be provided with a Golden Ticket. The Golden Ticket may be used as your adoption fee at a later date, or the adopter may use the Golden Ticket to "pay it forward" for the adoption fee of a dog at the shelter.​

• On Saturday, June 1, be prepared for a big crowd and lots of fun!
